Sea Festival in Sorrento

The Sea Festival of Sant'Agnello, not far from Sorrento, is an homage to the sea and to its traditions, an event that brings together tourism, culture, and spectacle. The 2008 Sea Festival presents the public with a colorful playbill of offerings: music, shows, and many gourmet food booths, with seafood delicacies prepared according to traditional local recipes.

The Agricultural Festival of Sant'Agnello is an open market, taking place during the month of September in Colli di Fontanelle. This event celebrates and promotes the work of farmers, bringing the atmosphere of rural simplicity to life for its many visitors.

During the three days of the festival, one can behold visitors from a wide range of social backgrounds enjoying freshly steamed corn on the cob, a cool glass of wine, or chatting with a local farmer. Known throughout the region for this festival, Sant'Agnello in September becomes the destination for people from far and wide to taste and buy the many products available in the stands: eggplant, figs, peppers, tomatoes, grapes, zucchini, canned preserves, pickles, sweets, and liquors.
